Pioneer Construction is an active corporate citizen and we believe in supporting our community. In addition to our tradition of support at the corporate level, we are also blessed to have selfless employees that recognize the importance of making a difference- giving of their personal time and resources to support causes that are near to their hearts. We believe that in order to be truly successful as a company, we need to make a significant impact on the lives of the less fortunate members of our community.

While we do not publish the specific names of organizations that we support, we focus our philanthropic efforts in the following areas:

    Basic Human Needs

Through homeless shelters and food pantries.

    Early Childhood Development & Education
Through local education foundations and schools, particularly in the inner city.

    Christian Ministries

Through local church organizations and non-profit foundations.

    Physical & Mental Health Needs
Through healthcare organizations, research institutes, and non-profit foundations.

We were honored to participate in the construction and erection of Sarah Grant’s, ‘Furniture City Sets the Table for the World of Art’, a 10+ ton public sculpture displayed atop the Blue Bridge in downtown Grand Rapids during the inaugural ArtPrize event in 2009.

The sculpture was donated to the Salvation Army and will reside permanently at the Ray & Joan Kroc Center, providing shade and beauty for those enjoying the park.
